GDPR for the P-A-D Application and White-Label Solutions

P-A-D (and IDELab) is a solution marketed by SIL-LAB Innovations.

Our solution may collect sensitive personal information on behalf of data controllers, who are SIL-LAB Innovations’ clients, primarily medical biology laboratories. Personal data is used exclusively for the medical care and patient management purposes of SIL-LAB Innovations’ clients.

SIL-LAB Innovations undertakes not to carry out any processing of personal data other than that requested by its clients.

For clients located within the European Union, no transfer of personal data outside the European Union is carried out, except, where applicable, encrypted network traffic related to internet routing.

SIL-LAB Innovations has conducted a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) for the management of sensitive data and makes it available to its clients upon request.

The P-A-D solution uses a certified health data hosting service provided by SEWAN COMMUNICATIONS, listed among approved health data hosting providers.

Patient Information / Consent

The data controllers are SIL-LAB Innovations’ clients, who work with independent nurses using the IDELab solution (or an equivalent white-label solution).

IDELab users are required to inform patients about the collection and electronic processing of their personal data, in accordance with the requirements of the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL).

If a patient objects to such processing, the nurse will manage the patient using a paper sampling form.

Data Retention Period

The default retention period for sampling data is 3 years, in order to meet COFRAC audit requirements.

Patient demographic data is retained for 3 years after the patient’s last care episode managed through IDELab.

These retention periods may be modified for legitimate reasons by the relevant data controllers.

Data Subject Rights

Individuals may exercise their rights directly with the relevant data controllers or the Data Protection Officers (DPOs) of SIL-LAB Innovations’ clients.
